OGBON OLOGBON KIIJEKI APE AGBA NIWERE- THE COLLECTIVE WISDOM OF OTHERS PREVENTS ELDERS FROM BEING REGARDED AS FOOLS.

The Golden Thread traces the interconnectedness of wisdom through a cultural narrative. It employs Yorùbá proverbs, a cognitive expression of figurative thought; stool, the principal symbol of a chief's political power and authority and an item of care and nurture in several homes and other symbols of cultural identity in a marriage of homage to culture, and “our villages' - where our journey began, where we derive support, where we consult for wisdom to innovate and where grounding exists in intimate collective memories.

The stool being a long-standing, regal, significant and intimate item in African homes embedded with an hourglass trace knowledge, legacy, nostalgia and similarities through evolution for comprehension and application.

The Adinkra symbol - Sankofa (carved atop the stool) translates to a Twi adage which symbolizes taking from the past what is good and bringing it into the present in order to make positive progress through the benevolent use of knowledge further deepening the sense of our identity, shared values and our place in the society for clarity and foresight anchored to/by the knowledge of our predecessors.

Our lives are all interwoven by the golden thread coursing through the rich tapestry of our shared history.
