It portrays the reality of seeking in current times through a (camera) lens, a choice item for research, exploration in and an allusion for the digital world with clay as a witness materials utilized in the process of divination in the time past.

Carvings mimicking that of an eye juxtaposing a camera lens serves as a window to peer into the (un)known. Our current endearment to use camera and social media as our choice medium for exploration and understanding against our ceremonial/fervent ventures to seers for direction and answers. The form and materials are employed to acknowledge our traditional inclinations of consultations via priests and seers. A balance for the duality and nuances of these adventures.

This work, beyond a nod to the power of clay as a witness, is an ode to the age-long craft of pottery, a connection with our ancestors. We see through their experiences and represent the past in the present for the future.
